Taking it back to the basics, In sha Allah, with this MUST WATCH series by one of our favourites, Imam Karim Abuzaid. Let’s Pray the Prophet’s Way is a textbook guide to learning the fundamentals of salat, to ensure our prayer is valid and can be accepted by Allah s.w.t. as part of our good deeds. As Sheikh Karim mentions, the only way our acts of worship can be accepted by Allah, is that a) we do the act of worship with sincerity for Allah alone, & b) we do the act of worship in accordance to the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
An important quote is shared at the beginning of the series, by one of the Salaf (righteous predecessors) of this ummah Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him)…
Nothing will rectify the last part of this Ummah except that which rectified its first part (i.e. the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ).Imam Malik (rahimahullah) [Reported by Ibn ‘AbdulHādi, in Tanqih at-Tahqiq 2/423]
SubhaanAllah, what a powerful quote that should remind every Muslim how important it is for us to rectify ourselves, with respect to our iman and our ibadah, to uplift ourselves and to uplift the ummah! What a better place to start, than with the central pillar of salat?! 🙂
