In sharing a little bit about myself as a revert to Islam…
I came from a Catholic family background. I wanted to reconnect with my spirituality and learn the religious scriptures. And in this search, Alhamdulillah, I came across comparative religion material that quickly turned my attention towards Islam. I felt Islam made up for the inconsistencies and mistakes of Christianity, and I then realized that Islam is the religion of Fitrah (innate nature) that every child is born upon.
I had Islamic beliefs in me all along, but I didn’t have a name for it at the time.
I became interested in learning more about Islam, and Alhamdulillah, this eventually led me to take the Shahadah.
By Allah’s Grace and Bounty, my learning journey has guided me to the knowledge of Aqeedah, (religious creed of Islam) as understood and implemented by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the Salaf (righteous predecessors), and also the fundamentals of belief that strengthen our certainty in the truth of Islam and increase our Iman (faith).
My intention in creating DeenShare, is to do JUST THAT, to share reliable sources of knowledge of the Deen (Islamic way or life), based in Qur`an and Sunnah, from learned people on various topics for the benefit of the Ummah (Muslim community).
I ask Allah ﷻ to bless these efforts in sharing these resources, that He may guide all of us to that which pleases Him most, and that He may allow us to keep steadfast on the straight path. Ameen.

Seeking knowledge of the Deen (Islam) is one of the greatest acts of worship! It is absolutely necessary for every Muslim to learn all about the obligatory acts like prayer, fasting, and Zakat & Hajj for those who are eligible. It is most important to learn about the Shahadah (testimony of faith), and all that is required to fulfill this reality. The goal of seeking knowledge is clearly outlined in the Glorious Qur’an, where Allah ﷻ says,
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ
“O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].” Surat Ali ‘Imran, [3:102]
We ask Allah to make us of those who live and die upon the true path of Islam, Ameen! The only way we can achieve this, with the aid of Allah, is to learn our Deen and apply what we learn to the best of our ability. We know it is difficult to know where to start and where to go to get essential knowledge. It is our hope, in sha Allah, that DeenShare can act as a guide by connecting you to various online resources to learn and grow in our Deen.
We only seek authentic resources, based on Qur’an and Sunnah.
So let’s say Bismillah, hold hands as brothers and sisters in Islam, and embark on this journey together, bi’ithnillah!
