Welcome! Aqeedah … what an important topic in Islam!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The importance of this topic is why we wanted to have a new and special series dedicated to it. A sound definition of Aqeedah is…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The firm [Islamic] creed [set of beliefs] that one’s heart is fixed upon without any wavering or doubt. It excludes any supposition, doubt or suspicion…”<\/em> www.kalamullah.com<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To further illustrate the importance aqeedah, we pull this quote from Al Ashqar’s ‘Belief In Allah’ which states the following;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The basic principles of the ‘aqeedah Allah commands us to believe in are mentioned in the aayah (verse),<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Messenger [Muhammad] believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and [so do] the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. [They say], \u2018We make no distinction between one another o f His Messengers\u2019 – and they say, \u2018We hear, and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return [of all].\u2019)” (Qur\u2019an 2: 285)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this very rudimentary overview of a definition,  learning Aqeedah is the best place to start when learning about Islam. It covers all the basic core beliefs, from who Allah (s.w.t) is, our understanding of world of the unseen, the central role of the prophets of Islam (Allah’s peace & blessings be upon all of them), the truth of revelation, the reality of the hereafter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
